FAQ

 Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) FAQ

Are ACP wireless plans really 100% Free every month?

Yes! Eligible customers can enjoy free talk, text, and data* at no cost every month using the free government data plan* options.

Like many government assistance programs, these programs make necessary services more affordable for qualified low-income individuals and families, offering government phones,* unlimited data,* and more.

What is included with ACP?

The Affordable Connectivity Program offers eligible customers discounted broadband service through participating wireless companies or other broadband service providers. This benefit can be redeemed through participating program providers of home broadband service or monthly wireless service.

Some providers offer additional benefits for new enrollments in the program. With enTouch Wireless, new enrollees who choose a Lifeline + ACP Combo Plan will receive a free smartphone* to use with their free monthly service!*

Do I need to apply for Lifeline to enroll in ACP?

While Lifeline enrollment is not required to apply for ACP benefits, there are benefits to enrolling in both programs at the same time.

Since both Lifeline and ACP share a lot of the same eligibility criteria, you can save time by enrolling together. Additionally, wireless plans that combine both Lifeline and ACP benefits include more free monthly talk, text, and data.*

enTouch Wireless even provides a free smartphone* to new or returning qualified customers who enroll in a combined Lifeline + ACP free government data plan* in most states.

What if I already signed up for ACP with another provider?

If you already have ACP benefits through another wireless or internet provider, you are free to switch by enrolling with a new provider! However, you may not transfer more than once in a calendar month.

Is it easy to sign up for ACP benefits?

Yes, many providers offer online enrollment options which makes it easy to enroll in benefits.
