Who Benefits from Michigan Lifeline Program Services?

One of the main reasons the Michigan Lifeline program is so important is that it benefits those who are the most vulnerable, providing them accessible cell phone plans in Michigan and enabling them to stay connected. The national program focuses on individuals, families, and households who are disadvantaged, low income, have disabilities or face other challenges that could be alleviated through Michigan Lifeline cell phone service providers.

Specifically, access to the Lifeline program in Michigan program is available to those who meet certain requirements, including those who live with incomes lower than 135% of the state or federal poverty level. The Michigan Lifeline program can also be used by people who are on Food Stamps/SNAP, or other state assistance programs.

Lifeline offers phone service in Michigan that can be used for free or at a reduced cost, so your money can be used for other urgent expenses.
