If you are accepted into the program, you will receive monthly financial aid to buy nutritious food for you and your family. General CalFresh Program Eligibility Guidelines

Immigration Status

Additionally, you must have a current bank balance (savings and checking combined) under $2,001 – or – if you share your residence with someone over the age of 60 or someone with a disability, your checking and savings accounts may not exceed more than $3,001.

After submitting your application, it will be received by a representative. To hasten the online application process, be sure to have the following documents on hand:
- Social security numbers for all household members
- Proof of address
- Valid ID
- Immigration paperwork (if applicable)

You will need to collect any documents stating your household income. Paystubs within the last 30 days are acceptable. The representative may also request to see proof of your expenses (e.g., utilities, child support payments, rent, etc.). If you qualify for the expedited program, you may be able to begin receiving benefits in as little as three days. Some applicants will need to attend an in-person interview to determine their eligibility.
